Call for Submissions: Visualizing Cities at Habitat III

highline sideIn October 2016, 40,000+ people will meet in Quito, Ecuador for the largest cities summit in United Nations history – Habitat III. Three institutions (ICSU, The Future Earth Media Lab, FH-Potsdam) are launching an open call for visualizations to find new ways of exploring cities and sustainable futures. Submissions including data visualization, film, virtual/augmented reality, animation and infographics will be featured on our web platform and the best will be showcased during Habitat III.

UGEC Contributes Response to UN Habitat 3 Issue Papers

habitat3Members of the Urbanization and Global Environmental Change Project network have contributed comments to the Habitat III Issue papers.

The Habitat III Issue Papers are summary documents that address one or more research areas, highlight general findings, and identify research needs on topics related to housing and sustainable urban development.  They are meant to provide in depth review and analysis of specific issues relevant to the discussions of the Habitat III Conference, to be held October 17 – 20, 2016 in Quito, Ecuador.
