ISSC releases Report on Sustainable Urbanisation Seminar

The International Social Science Council recently released a report on the “Sustainable Urbanisation — Transformations to Sustainability in Urban Contexts” seminar, which was held from November 2 – 8, 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan.  The seminar was taught by UGEC SSC Members Roberto Sanchez Rodriguez, Shu-Li Huang, Peter Marcotullio, and Darryn McEvoy.  UGEC Project Associates Sohail Ahmad, Aliyu Barau, and Yangfan Li also attended.

UGEC SSC Member leads Workshop on Resilience to Climate Change in Honiara, Solomon Islands

UGEC SSC Member Darryn McEvoy, along with UGEC Viewpoints author Alexei Trundle, recently led a two day urban resilience and climate adaptation forum in Honiara, Solomon Islands, on August 4-5, 2015.  It was sponsored by UN-Habitat and included other experts from RMIT University.

IHDP Summary for Decision-Makers: Coastal Zones and Urbanization

 

 

The last IHDP publication has finally been published! The Summary for Decision-Makers: Coastal Zones and Urbanization, was written as a collaboration between UGEC and LOICZ (now Future Earth – Coasts). Authors include UGEC Executive Officer Corrie Griffith, UGEC SSC Member Darryn McEvoy, and UGEC Project Associates Andrea Lampis, Mark Pelling, and Debra Roberts.
